Being a medical professional, nurses can relate as they watch the main character process and experience her illness. The storyline provides another side of our patient’s lives that we often never see or hear about, as nurses are often their for the acute needs of a disease.

If this is your first time away from home you maybe missing your home and loved ones. The endearing love/hate relationship between the main character and her mother will make you appreciate your own relationships with your family. Plus, her mom is an tough nurse that exemplifies why nurses are such awesome humans.
