We are so excited to share that @nurse.camelia is our Nurse of the Week!
“Hi friends! My name is Camelia, like the flower. I’ve been a nurse for 6 years in Northern & Southern California. I have worked in Labor & Delivery, Med-Surg, PACU, home-health and medical spa settings. I’m very passionate about research and public health.”
She has obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in chemical biology and a Masters Degree in public health. Having worked in both these fields, she still prefers working as a nurse since she loves caring for patients directly.

She is currently a nursing instructor and has an administrator role as a Clinical Operations Director at a healthcare group. She is also an active member of the National Ski Patrol and Medical Reserve Corps (MRC). During winter you’ll find her on snow-packed slopes snowboarding and helping injured guests. All other times, she’s working, doing yoga, learning Ayurveda, spending time in nature, and getting trained in emergency preparedness.
“As you can see, nurses have lots of flexibility with respect to what kind of work we do and how many hours we work. So take advantage of this flexibility to keep your work-life in balance and prevent burnout. I love helping nursing students and new grad nurses through their journey, so if you need support through your journey or want to say hi, reach out to me.”
Thanks for all the amazing work you do, Camelia!
