Our final nurse of the week from this month goes to @bayybee_gee!
Geneva is from the Bay Area, and people call her “Ge” for short. She graduated nursing school on December 2015 at age 23 and was in med-surg/tele for a little over 2 years. In December 2018 she transitioned into ICU and has loved it ever since.
“Our facility is so unique that we take such a diverse patient population! We take pretty much any device you can think of! EVD, CRRT, IMPELLA, IABP, Rotoprone bed, ECMO, open heart/CABGs and valve replacements, and loads of other cases.”

In her almost 2 years of ICU experience, she feels like she has grown so much and seen so much. She is so grateful of where she is at now, and is enjoying every second of her experience.
“I mean who doesn’t love an adrenaline rush right? I’m currently stuck in the middle of trying to figure out what path I’m destined to take. Is it CRNA school? Is it travel nursing? Is it picking a specialty? But who’s to say I’m not already where I’m supposed to be? Got any advice for me? I guess y’all just have to stay tuned and see where life takes me. ☺️”
We at NurseFly vote for travel, but we are a bit biased 😉
Thank you Geneva for all of your hard work in the ICU and for being you!!!!
