Viki described the scope of her humanitarian efforts to NurseFly:
“Last summer, I traveled to Vietnam on a medical mission trip with the Good Samaritan Medical Dental Ministry. It was an amazing and life-changing experience! Born in Vietnam and immigrated to the United States when I was five years old, my dream was to someday return to my birth country to serve my people. Last summer, I made my dream a reality. The Good Samaritan Medical Dental Ministry is a nonprofit organization that reaches out to the people of Vietnam. For two weeks, we set up clinics in rural and poor areas at local schools to provide medical care for approximately 300 people daily. For the majority of the patients, this would be the only medical care they received for the whole year. Some even traveled many miles by foot just to receive medical care.
On August 9th, I competed for the title of Miss California United States representing Miss West Coast. I believe that my voice will empower, inspire, and uplift everyone who crosses my path.”
Thank you Viki for all you do and being such an amazing nurse and person!
